A stable democratic government is one of the reasons Panama is investment friendly for foreign investors. After the global financial crisis of 2008, Panama is currently recording double-digit growth rates in prime areas and about 5% in other areas. Tourism number and cost of housing seem to be on an upward trend, it is no wonder that the return on investment in the country is about 7.66% although this too is looking upwards.
