Vrboska has a good selection of cafe bars and restaurants as well as several supermarkets and a post office. The town is blessed with several beaches the most well known being Soline, which is partly fine shingle/sand.  There is also an ACI marina which is ideal for mooring throughout the year. Also in Vrboska is the Aqua Park Solin which is hours of fun for the young and not so young! Jelsa is a few km away and is approached along a coastal road/path which is on the flat so ideal for cycling. Jelsa has a daily catamaran service provided by Jadrolinija to Split, via Bol on the island of Brac. In the opposite direction, about 4 km away is the town of Stari Grad which has the ferry port to Split, Jadrolinija has a comprehensive timetable in the summer months offering at least four ferries during the day.
