Malta is one of the few truly European citizenship programs. As a member of
Schengen, Maltese citizenship affords the rights to live work or study in 27 member
states plus visa free travel to UK, USA and Canada. It is also one of the few programs
that includes parents, children and grandparents within the application, allowing
entire families to migrate. An attractive tax regime is an added bonus. Investment in
real estate starts from around 600,000 Euros. The greater the investment the faster
the applicant is afforded citizenship with a time span ranging from one year to three
years to obtain passport.
